
About the Opportunity
The Account Manager is responsible for the end-to-end coordination and delivery of air charter services for a key client in the mining and resources sector. This includes full ownership of flight planning, passenger manifest management, operational reporting, stakeholder liaison (including clients and aircraft operators), and on-ground supervision of charter movements.
You will require a high degree of flexibility to work outside standard hours and proficiency in using aviation booking platforms and coordinating with multiple operational stakeholders.
As this is an office-based role, candidates must be based in Brisbane, or willing to relocate.
What you will be doing:
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary contact for the client, building strong, solution-oriented relationships
- Proactively anticipate and respond to client needs, roster changes, and special requirements
- Conduct regular client reviews and provide detailed performance updates
Flight & Operational Planning
- Coordinate all aspects of charter flight planning including schedules, aircraft allocation, ground handling, and turnaround requirements
- Liaise with aircraft operators to confirm aircraft availability, crew readiness, and technical specifications
- Interface with air charter booking tools and internal systems to manage flight data, allocations and reporting
Manifest & Passenger Management
- Prepare and manage passenger manifests, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with client FIFO coordinators to gather passenger data and address last-minute changes
- Ensure all operational systems are updated with real-time flight and manifest information
On-Ground Supervision
- Oversee passenger check-in, boarding, and departures, ensuring a seamless airport experience
- Coordinate with airport and ground staff for efficient turnarounds and on-time performance
- Act as on-site representative during peak charter windows or irregular operations
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare daily, weekly, and post-flight reports including delay tracking, load data, and incident reporting
- Ensure all documentation complies with safety, quality, and contractual KPIs
- Work closely with the compliance team to maintain internal operational standards
Aircraft Operator Liaison
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with multiple aircraft operators
- Ensure clear communication of flight plans, manifests, and operational requirements
- Escalate and resolve any issues relating to operator performance or service disruptions
Flexibility & Availability
- Work flexible hours to meet the demands of flight schedules, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Provide after-hours support for urgent client requests or operational issues
What you will need:
Essential
- 3+ years of experience in aviation, charter management, FIFO logistics, or a similar operational role
- Hands-on experience using charter or airline booking platforms (e.g. Leon, Avinode, or similar)
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to fast-paced operational changes
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce and operational reporting systems
- Previous airport or aircraft handling experience
- Understanding of CASA regulations and air operator processes
Desirable
- Experience in mining/resource sector flight operations
