As the Domain Architect you will be responsible for setting and maintaining the architectural direction within a specific business or technology domain. Ensuring that all solution designs within the domain align with enterprise architecture, business goals, and technology standards.
You'll act as a bridge between business needs and technical delivery, providing leadership, promoting architectural consistency, and supporting the delivery of scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions.

Day in the life:
- Design and govern cloud architectures across AWS and Azure environments
- Provide architectural guidance to product, platform, and delivery teams
- Review and approve cloud designs through architecture governance forums
- Work with Enterprise Architects, Business Relationship Managers, and Product Owners to ensure that domain architecture supports current and future business needs
- Define and maintain cloud standards, patterns, and reference architectures
- Identify architectural risks and ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and operational requirements
- Support cloud migrations and modernisation initiatives
- Ensure solutions meet security, resilience, cost, and compliance requirements
- Partner with security, networking, data, and platform teams
- Drive cloud cost optimisation and operational efficiency
- Mentor engineers and architects and uplift cloud capability
You'll be perfect for the role if you have:
- 7-10 years in IT architecture, with proven experience in solution design, integration, and implementation
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solution Architect, ITIL, or relevant industry certifications
- Experience operating in large, complex enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on experience designing and governing Azure cloud architectures
- Working knowledge of AWS and hybrid cloud patterns
- Good experience in cloud networking, including (Azure Virtual Networks, subnets, routing, and NSGs) & (Firewalls, private endpoints, and secure connectivity patterns)
- Solid understanding of identity and access management (Azure AD, RBAC, least privilege)
- Experience designing for security, resilience, and high availability in cloud platforms
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM)
- Relevant SFIA Competencies
