
About the Opportunity
At Discova, we're looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to lead our shared services AP function and ensure the timely, accurate processing and payment of supplier invoices. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee day-to-day AP operations, drive process improvements, support month-end activities, and develop a high-performing team while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Your main responsibility is:
- Lead and develop the Accounts Payable team to deliver accurate, efficient, and timely invoice processing and supplier payments.
- Oversee invoice verification, reconciliation, coding, and posting to ensure compliance with company and financial requirements.
- Manage payment processes, coordinating with treasury and finance teams to meet payment deadlines and maintain healthy supplier relationships.
- Prepare and review AP ageing reports, monitor outstanding balances, and support effective cash flow management.
- Support month-end closing activities by ensuring AP transactions are complete, accurate, and reported on time.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across AP processes, systems, and service delivery standards.
About You
The Essentials:
- Diploma qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance function.
- Minimum 2 years' experience leading a finance shared services or accounts payable team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and the local language.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency across Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Tourplan or similar finance/travel systems is advantageous.
