Regional Large Market BDM – Latin America

About the opportunity:

Acquire new regional corporate travel business in accordance to targets set.  Implement strategies and processes to develop corporate relationships with key decision makers in organisations to create new sales opportunities via means of corporate networking, client profiling, cold calling.  Presents products and services in a compelling financial and operational offering to ensure maximisation of client travel spend and FCTG profitability.   To work closely with the Regional Sales and Network Leaders to drive new business wins for the FCM global network.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure high level of business development activity to ensure conversion meets required target
    • Ensure business win is optimised with all potential  solutions incorporated
    • Ensure business is won maintaining minimum net margin levels
    • Area of responsibilities 60% Regional Sales and 40% National large market sales focus
    • Build and maintain a minimum 80 key flagship large market, multi-national prospects (for the LATAM and Global Sector)
    • Maintain a target KYP score of over 40% in year 1, aiming for 60% in year 2.
    • Ensure required number of face to face appointments are achieved per week and month
    • Submit a minimum of 2 formal proposals / RFP’s per month to valid large market / multi-national prospects
    • Ensure cold calling & network contacts made daily/weekly to generate required face to face appts
    • Ensure multi-level contacts and relationships are made and maintained in all organisations
    • Leverage networks within FCTG & client organisations to expand networks for business acquisition
    • Utilise Salesforce system as CRM platform for tracking of all client activity
    • Always adhere to the FCm Large Market Sales Process (OBW).
    • Completion of Bid no Bid process on all bids that are 2 markets or more.
    • Attend overseas and local sales presentations where required to represent the LATAM region
    • Qualify clients needs incl budgetary, product, service
    • Identify gaps & effectively counter issues or concern
    • Counter competitor pitches
    • Negotiate mutually agreeable outcomes whilst optimising margin levels
    • Manage efficient bid & tender projects
    • Write bid executive summaries that summarise the key features and benefits of taking on FCm on a multi market basis.
    • Ability to write bids in English and Spanish where required and demand dictates
    • Identify, co-ordinate & engage the necessary stakeholders
    • Ensure brand standards, USP and market proposition is clear and compelling
    • Analysis of tender data and the preparation of commercial business cases to client
    • Identify key sources of data to determine competitive edge
    • Co-ordinate all required data from stakeholders to prepare response
    • Coordinate Pricing Initiatives with the LATAM Network or countries in Scope.
    • Preparation of rigorous business case to client
    • Preparation and collation of superior professional response
    • Ensure responses are professional and delivered in full and on time and
    • Utilise Salesforce system as CRM platform for tracking of all client activity
    • Contracting, Implementation & transition of client to transacting
    • Effective handover to Regional and National account management teams, once contract signed
    • Retention & optimisation of client transactions
    • Team and operational meetings
    • Attend team and global sales meetings, trainings and conferences
    • Attend Regional SWOT meetings and partner meetings.
    • Organize and Support Sales Trainings for LATAM Partners.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years’ business development experience in the LATAM market
  • Experience in the travel industry is preferred
