As the Business Analyst (BA) you’ll work as part of the Finance Systems team to create value in project delivery activities, assisting with ongoing improvement in understanding business processes and workflows across any number of business and technology related processes.

 

You’ll be regarded as a conduit between the business units, organisational stakeholders and solutions delivery teams.  Liaising with key stakeholders in the organisation to develop a solid understanding of how the business is currently operating and the future goals of the business.  Understanding, reviewing and analysing the business in terms of its business services, business processes, organisational structure and other relevant information.

The details:

 

  • Working closely with the business to elicit detailed business requirements inclusive of functional, non functional and technical requirements
  • Ability to document “As is” and “Future” business processes identifying key change impacts
  • Ability to perform data analysis, including data profiling and source to target mapping
  • Ability to closely work with the development teams to ensure that the requirements are closely understood and delivered solution aligns with business expectations
  • Ability to create and execute comprehensive end to end test cases and other acceptance criteria
  • Ability to perform any training activities to equip business users with sufficient product knowledge to execute testing activities to enable business acceptance of the developed solution
  • Plan and delivery of deployment activities such as change, communications management, cutover and development of any supporting documentation as required
  • Provision of exceptional customer service to end users through any escalated post go live support activities
  • Assisting with improving technical administration (through automation  - requiring SQL and scripting knowledge)

 

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role is required
  • Previous experience working with Finance system projects and have a strong understanding of finance processes / accounting terms 
  • Whilst a formal tertiary qualification is considered highly advantageous to work as a business analyst, it is not essential.
  • Experience in Business Requirements elicitation, documenting and analysis
  • Experience in documenting use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, test cases
  • Experience in capturing and analysing end to end current and future state processes
