The Role

As a senior structural consulting engineer, you have direct responsibility for the management and growth of the civil/structural work group.  You will support the peers/staff within your team grow to their potential and foster a positive, high-performance culture. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising with clientele involved with engineering projects.
• Assist in presentations to prospective clients and manage key client relationships;
• Application of engineering principles, techniques and methods to engineering projects;
• Conducting engineering inspection, analysis, design and computation on steel and concrete structures;
• Carry out structural audits of critical assets, plant and equipment;
• Reviewing and developing the companies Structural Engineering activities to meet and exceed client’s expectations.
• Preparing project proposal, execution plan, engineering specification, scope of work, estimation, tender documents, resource coordination, reporting, liaising & communicating with clients.
• Keeping up to date with latest technological advances/innovative solutions for client problems.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering with project management and supervisory experience.
• CPEng and RPEQ status are highly advantageous.
• Experience in inspecting steel and concrete structures.
• Experience in durability assessment of concrete structures
• Minimum five years of experience in a field related to Testing, Inspection or Asset Care Services.
• Strong communication and people skills
• Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge
