The Role

We are seeking an experienced Serviceperson to join the Drill & Blast team at West Wyalong – NSW. This position is full time permanent on a 7/7 roster DIDO on a company supplied bus with accommodation available for those residing outside the West Wyalong area.

As a Serviceperson, your role would be to effectively, safely and productively service site plant and equipment, to ensure continual maximum production capability and be an integral member of the team in regard to safety and professionalism.

Key responsibilities would include:

  • Checking fluids and refuelling all plant and equipment
  • Assist site fitter with regular maintenance servicing and manufacturing requirements
  • Maintain the service truck and fluid levels to be readily available as per the requirements of the drills
  • Assist Drillers with collecting consumables
  • Utilization of Integrated Tool Carrier/ Manitou to load/unload drill rods and maneuver parts and equipment as required
  • Ensure oil bund containment area is kept stocked to par levels, organised, tidy and clean.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • Mechanical aptitude is essential
  • HR Licence
  • Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on team work.
  • A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment.
  • Ability to obtain a national police clearance
  • Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment.
