The Role

We are seeking a motivated Rope Access Manager to oversee shutdown operations in our Asset Maintenance division.  Servicing our Tier one clients in the Northwest – Pilbara and Port Hedland region.

As the Rope Access Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational success while upholding the highest safety standards and driving business growth.

Perth-based role with frequent travel as required by the business unit. Remunerations would include Site allowance and bonus.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure delivery of contracted services to client satisfaction, while maintaining cost controls and adhering to budget.
  • Provide positive leadership to increase attraction, retention, and engagement of team members.
  • Develop strategies to expand business scope and identify areas for operational improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Maximize performance of shutdowns and support business growth initiatives.
  • Lead and manage Rope Access operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with recruitment to onboard required rope access resources.
  • Attend site meetings to discuss progress, safety, and other relevant issues.
  • Ensure efficient scheduling, planning, and resource management for operations.
  • Oversee compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Foster a Zero Harm safety culture, promoting safe attitudes and behaviors among all employees.
  • Drive commitment to quality and promote a strong safety culture.

 The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience executing shutdowns in a mining environment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical works and/or mechanical trade certification preferred.
  • Experience in Rope Access discipline is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures and compliance.
  • Experience liaising with clients in the mining industry.
  • Ability to seek out new business opportunities.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
