The Role

SRG Global are seeking an experienced Drill Fitter to join our Geotechnical Operations Team at the KCGM, Superpit in Western Australia.

• Day shift only
• 8/6 roster available 
• Residential position ideally must be located in the Goldfields. 
• Hourly rate depends on experience and qualifications.
• Modern Specialist Drill Rigs & Auxiliary mining equipment

Responsibilities include:

• Performing scheduled drill servicing across;

            Custom Built High Reach Drill Rigs on Kato SR300L & Kato KR25H-V6 Crane Chassis,

            Sandvik DX800R Remote Control Drill Rigs,

            Vermeer 60x90 Remote Control Drill Rig,

            Manitou MTX-1840-A Telehandlers W’ Work Platforms

• Performing unscheduled repairs
• Maintaining and servicing ancillary light vehicles, LV trailers, heavy support trucks, mobile air compressors, shotcrete & grout machines
• Technical guidance & field service support to operations personnel
• Training & support to other SRG employees
• Liaison with OEM’s & suppliers on technical issues and parts requisition

The successful applicant will have:

• A working knowledge of Sandvik or Epiroc Top Hammer Drill Rigs & Crane experience is advantageous
• Trade Certificate - Heavy Duty Fitter or Similar.
• Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork
• A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment
• Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment
• Hold a current HR driver’s licence
• Air Conditioning repair licence is advantageous
