The Role

We are seeking an experienced Drill Operator to join our team at WA Goldfields region. This position is a permanent full-time opportunity.

The successful applicant will have:

• Hold the appropriate Trade Certificate
• Hold a current driver’s licence
• A working knowledge of Sandvik and Epiroc equipment
• Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork
• A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment
• Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment

Responsibilities include:

• Operate Hydraulic and pneumatic Drill rigs in a mining environment as per OEM specifications
• Complete drill holes to clients requirements to a high standard of QA
• Complete minor mechanical repairs
• Assist mechanical staff with minor and major repairs
• Service drill rigs and ancillary equipment
• Operate ancillary equipment such as service trucks and LV’s
• Daily completion of drill sheets
• Complete daily pre-starts on auxiliary vehicles, drills and equipment
• Ensure drilling consumables/ GETS are maintained and wear rates are recorded as required
• Dip drill holes to ascertain correct depth
