The Role

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our finance team in our Head Office in Subiaco.

This role would suit an excellent communicator with a dynamic and positive personality who is keen to drive improvement as well as adding value through providing easy to interpret reports, data insight and analysis that ensures good financial decision making.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position will focus on ensuring disciplined financial management practices are maintained while supporting the daily activities of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly management reporting, including appropriate reconciliations, fixed asset movements, general ledger maintenance, financial analysis and commentary
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Month end processes
  • Weekly and ad-hoc reporting on key business metrics – labour recoverability, payroll exceptions, outstanding debtors, capex spend, and month-to-date financial performance
  • Assisting with client KPI reporting and contract performance
  • Helping improve financial literacy across the business and providing insights to help improve financial performance.
  • Assisting with External and Internal Audits (6 monthly)
  • Act as a primary contact for operations regarding finance related queries.
  • Prepare and lodge compliances reports to governing bodies (BAS, IAS, PAYG & TPAR).

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • CA/CPA Membership
  • Construction industry experience an advantage.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 and Jobpac an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a Management Accounting role
  • Degree in Business or Commerce with an Accounting major.
  • High computer literacy including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • A background in supporting projects & personnel across multiple locations, and from multiple disciplines across the business
