We are looking for an experienced Drill Fitter to join our Mining – Drill & Blast team at our Admiral, WA operations. This will be on going, long-term project work.

Both full-time and casual positions available. FIFO from Perth. Roster is 2:2 (weeks) – day shift & night shift.

The Role

The primary purpose of this position is to assist in all aspects of the daily business activities associated with the maintenance services on Site.

This role would ideally suit someone who has a positive attitude towards safety, training & environment. Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing scheduled drill servicing across Sandvik Leopard and DP1500i Pantera, and Epiroc D65 rigs
  • Performing unscheduled repairs
  • Maintaining and servicing light vehicles
  • Technical guidance & field service support to operations personnel
  • Training & support to other SRG employees
  • Liaison with OEM’s & suppliers on technical issues

The successful applicant will have:

  • HR Divers Licence
  • Drill Fitter Trade Certificate
  • A working knowledge of Sandvik DPI1500 and Epiroc D65 equipment
  • Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment

Desirables

  • Refrigerant Handling Licence
  • High Risk Work Licence - HRWL - DG (Dogman) or RB (Rigging).
