The Role
We are seeking a Payroll Systems Analyst to support in our Head Office in Subiaco.
Working closely with our Payroll team, this role is primarily accountable for managing and supporting the existing payroll system.
A solutions-focused mindset is essential along with strong communication skills. The successful candidate will actively engage with stakeholders to obtain vital information, troubleshoot issues, and help deliver effective solutions and improvements across the payroll systems environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review the current payroll system configuration and identify areas for improvement
- Monitor internal ticketing systems and shared mailboxes and support team to resolve issues
- Work closely with our third-party vendors to resolve system-related issues and build system knowledge
- Provide support with system implementations and business-as-usual activities
- Support with scheduling, documenting, and delivering End User training of systems
- Create and maintain documentation to support the management of systems
- Develop an understanding of integrations between systems in order to support testing, documentation, and ongoing system support
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand and document current payroll-related processes
- Analyse business processes to support payroll system configuration and continuous improvement
- Support with the creation of business process maps and system documentation
- Provide administrative and coordination support to the team
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Previous experience supporting payroll systems or People & Safety Systems
- Experience using SQL – this is essential
- Experience working with payroll software, preferably Pay Global or similar systems
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in a business or IT-related field (desirable but not essential)
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to identify and resolve system issues with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong general system skills
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
