The Role

Seeking an experienced Project Engineer for the construction and delivery of a concrete tank in Sandy Creek, South Australia – approximately one hour’s drive from Adelaide.

Permanent, Monday to Friday local role.

FIFO from Sydney, Melbourne or Perth will be considered.

This role will report to the Project Manager and will work closely with site personnel on-site, ensuring prompt project delivery and quality work

In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate closely with on-site teams and senior management, leveraging your expertise to bring complex projects to life and deliver outstanding results.

In addition to working with a great team, the successful applicant will receive ongoing project exposure allowing you to develop your technical and project management skills further.

Works will include:

Water Tank Construction Project which involves the construction of two new 10ML potable water tanks with a 100-year design life. The project will involve:

  • Insitu concrete works including base slab
  • Precast, post-tensioned concrete wall panels
  • Steel roof and associated access equipment.

The works will require a strong attention to detail and will utailise advance waterproofing systems to ensure a high-quality asset, waterproof asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare project-specific documentation, including technical, safety, environmental, and quality deliverables.
  • Provide technical support to ensure project objectives are met and monitor performance via KPIs.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and QSE standards.
  • Advise on design, construction, and repairs to industrial or managerial personnel.
  • Assist the site team with construction and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate to assess material and labour costs for project feasibility.
  • Analyse various project-related reports and data.
  • Resolve issues through Technical Queries (TQs) and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Conduct quality audits and address identified shortcomings.
  • Oversee specific construction and maintenance activities as directed.
  • Maintain project documents and registers.
  • Manage QAQC testing activities to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor procurement activities to meet commercial and quality targets.

 The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Concrete/Structures experience preferred, water experience desirable.
  • Strong communication and planning skills
  • Demonstrated experience in effective HSQE management
  • Strong financial / commercial acumen.
  • Willingness / ability to work in remote locations as may be required
  • Hold a current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Pass a pre-employment medical and D&A
  • Experience using Microsoft Project and Primavera (Desirable).
