The Role

As a Technical Assistant, you will provide assistance to our team of qualified NDT Technicians and Engineers to test and investigate various items of plant and equipment to ensure reliability and integrity. Forming part of a skilled and high performing team, you will have the support of a progressive and experienced management team and be exposed to a variety of interesting and challenging work environments.

This role is a casual position at various major Power Station outages within the Lake Macquarie and Hunter Valley, NSW region with potential for ongoing project / shutdown opportunities for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Documenting findings in a clear and concise format following instruction work packs
• Conduct replications of metallic surfaces in accordance with SRG procedures

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• Hold an industry White Card
• Working at Height and Confined Spaces (advantage)
• Experience working in mining, industrial or power settings (advantage)
• Previous experience within Manufacturing, Mechanical and Automotive trades (desirable)
• A high attention to detail, ability to follow direction and adhere to Work Health and Safety regulations
• Have the ability to work effectively within a team with strong communication skills and a willingness to challenge yourself and learn
• The ability to successfully pass a Pre-employment medical including a Drug & Alcohol Screening
