The Role

We’re looking for a dynamic Finance Business Partner located in Brisbane, QLD to join our team in a critical role supporting the organisation’s financial performance. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with business units across the organisation, you will provide strategic financial insights, ensure data integrity, and deliver accurate reporting to drive informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor and business partner to operational leaders across all business units.
  • Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights that drive performance, cost control, and pricing strategies.
  • Lead and prepare budgets, monthly forecasts, month-end/year-end reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Develop and implement financial models, reporting tools, and performance metrics (KPIs) to enhance planning and accuracy.
  • Ensure data integrity across systems while driving process, reporting, and systems improvements.
  • Contribute to external reporting, benchmarking, compliance, and systems integration initiatives.
  • Support systems integration and process mapping initiatives across finance and business functions.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or CA accreditation.
  • 5+ years’ experience within a similar role.
  • Experience within the Construction, Engineering industry (highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Project Accounting.
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Advanced experience with MS Excel.
  • Experience with Dynamics365 (preferred)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the development of change and continuous improvements.
