The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead and coordinate all logistics operations for our scaffold division. This includes managing our internal fleet of Hiabs and light vehicles, as well as subcontracted transport providers.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring all vehicle movements, deliveries and returns are executed safely, efficiently and in full compliance with Australian Standards, NHVL, Chain of Responsibility requirements and company policies.
This is a critical role that supports project delivery across multiple regions while driving performance, safety and reliability in our logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day operations of the internal transport fleet and coordinate subcontracted logistics and waste services.
- Develop and manage transport schedules to support timely equipment delivery, return, and backload efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with NHVL, Chain of Responsibility, and relevant Australian Standards.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules, and pre-start inspections to ensure fleet reliability and safety.
- Implement and enforce load restraint procedures and conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
- Manage scheduling and compliance of waste disposal activities, ensuring EPA and local council requirements are met.
- Monitor and manage third-party vendor performance, prequalification, and cost control.
- Drive logistics improvements to enhance turnaround times and reduce operational costs.
- Produce regular reporting on transport utilisation, delivery performance, and equipment movement.
- Lead, coach, and support the logistics team, fostering a safety-first and service-focused culture.
- Collaborate with operations, yard, and project teams to align transport priorities and resource planning.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Minimum 3-5+ years in logistics/fleet management, preferably within construction or scaffolding.
- Experience in managing Hiab and/or crane truck operations.
- Current Heavy Rigid (HR) license (preferred).
- White Card (Construction Induction).
- Demonstrated knowledge of NHVR, CoR, and Australian Load Restraint Guidelines.
- Proficient in transport scheduling systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
