The Role

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our corporate finance team in our Sydney, CBD office.

This role would suit an excellent communicator with a dynamic and positive personality who is keen to drive improvement as well as adding value through providing easy to interpret reports, data insight and analysis that ensures good financial decision making.

This position will focus on ensuring disciplined financial management practices are maintained while supporting the daily activities of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end close processes, including appropriate reconciliations, fixed asset movements, general ledger maintenance, financial analysis and commentary
• Budgeting and Forecasting
• Month end processes
• Weekly and ad-hoc reporting on key business metrics
• Helping improve financial literacy across the business and providing insights to help improve financial performance.
• Assisting with Financial Audits
• Act as a primary contact for operations regarding finance-related queries.
• Prepare and lodge compliance reports to governing bodies (BAS, IAS, PAYG & TPAR)

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• Professional accounting designation (CA/CPA) or working towards certification
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Construction industry experience (desirable)
• Experience with Dynamics 365 and Jobpac an advantage
• High computer literacy including proficient skills in Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and people skills
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• A background in supporting projects & personnel across multiple locations (desirable)
