The role:
An opportunity for an experienced Project Finance Lead to join Symal, based on one of our major Project’s for a key client. The role is based on-site in Pakenham, VIC, where you will have ongoing support from the wider Finance team.

Your impact:

Leading the function, you will be instrumental in meeting cyclical reporting obligations and ensuring adequate financial controls are established, to provide accurate financial reporting for the business and its stakeholders.

Your every day:

• Support the Symal Infrastructure business on its TOC projects with government bodies such as Major Road Projects Victoria
• To ensure that all TOC projects are compliant with various bodies by payment and lodgement of obligations as and when they fall due
• To manage the project audit process, ensuring that information provided is accurate and treated correctly in accordance with contractual / client agreed requirements
• Undertake the day-to-day running of the finance function for TOC projects in the business
• Control the overall budgeting / forecasting process and ongoing measurement of budget performance for the relevant project
• Work with the broader finance team, driving a high performance culture, ensuring that all tasks are performed accurately, timely and value added at every opportunity
• Prepare the monthly claim to clients.

Who are you?
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Commerce
• CA or CPA Qualified
• At least 10 years’ experience within Finance, in a Manager, Lead or Accounting role
• Experience preferably working within construction – civil or on a major infrastructure Project
• Experience using Jobpac is highly desirable
• Advanced MS Excel experience
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
Ability to travel to and work from Pakenham, Victoria
