The role: 

With our footprint in the Hunter Valley expanding, Symal are looking to add a Senior Project Engineer to the team.

This role will be based in Taree, as we deliver an exciting bridge and road upgrage project for the Mid Coast City council.

Your impact: 

Your guidance will ensure our project teams deliver for our valued clients on time, on budget and as safely as possible.

Your every day: 

  • Coordinating and administering construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
  • Participating in monthly financial reviews and providing cost forecasts against budgets to understand cost to complete.
  • Leading and supporting a strong safety culture.
  • Managing the construction program and implementing mitigating measures to keep the program on track.
  • Demonstrating financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.

Who are you? 

  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering or project management.
  • A proven track record of delivering infrastructure projects and leading teams with a successful outcome regarding the above KRA’s.
  • Effective communication with clients, consultants management & on-site personnel.
  • Understanding of HSE/QA compliance.
  • Experience in delivering infrastructure projects greater than $20mil in value.
  • Ability to travel regionally when needed.
