A newly created role now exists within Unyte Southern's workshop team for a Maintenance Manager to jump onboard and lead our Southern business unit’s maintenance team. We are seeking a driven individual, with a robust background in overseeing the maintenance, repair and management of heavy plant & equipment.
This is a full-time role based at our workshop in Spotswood.
The position will lead our growing maintenance team will ensure that all of our maintenance items are actioned in a timely fashion to keep our projects running to program.
- Managing our maintenance team and driving productivity and profitability.
- Managing the day-to-day planning and scheduling of preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
- Conducting internal safety and quality audits on plant & equipment, ensuring compliance.
- Ensuring a very strict adherence to health, safety, quality & environmental standards across the workshop.
- Accurate record keeping and administrations across day-to-day operations.
- Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure best outcome for business.
- Bachelor's degree or certificate / associated diploma across Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical or related fields.
- Solid understanding around heavy plant & equipment and wider systems maintenance.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to manage, lead and influence the wider team to achieve efficient outcomes.
- Operational experience managing budgets, cost tracking and cost-saving initiatives.
