About the Role:

Due to continued growth, Mader Group are currently seeking experienced Boilermakers to join our Fixed Plant Shutdown Core Crew working across multiple mine sites in Western Australia.

This is a FIFO role ex Perth – interstate candidates considered (must make own way to Perth).

Commencement intake from July 2026 onwards.

This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to align shutdown work with your lifestyle and availability while being part of a high-performing shutdown team.

Key Duties:

  • Heavy fabrication, welding and structural repairs on fixed plant mining equipment
  • Shutdown maintenance across crushers, conveyors, chutes, hoppers, screens, pumps and structural steelwork
  • Fault finding, repair and modification of fixed plant infrastructure
  • MIG, TIG and Arc welding across a range of materials and thicknesses
  • Cutting, grinding, gouging and installation works during shutdown outages
  • Working within tight shutdown schedules to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and fabrication plans
  • Supporting preventative maintenance, breakdown response and plant upgrades

What do I need to join?

  • Trade Qualification – Boilermaker / Welder (Certificate III Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in fixed plant maintenance or mining shutdown environments
  • Strong MIG, TIG and Arc welding skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Drivers Licence
  • Construction White Card
  • Confined Space & Working at Heights tickets (essential)
  • Gas Test Atmospheres ticket (essential)
  • Fire / Hot Work Permit (essential)
  • First Aid & CPR (desirable)
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
  • Motivated, reliable and professional attitude
