About this opportunity

We are excited to be opening our second HBF dental centre soon at Midland and are committed to building a team made up of the most talented and passionate people around.

Each of our new centres requires an exceptional leadership team to ensure its success for our patients, Dentists and employees. We are seeking a Centre Leader to work together with our existing Regional Leader who will provide guidance and support to our newest team members.

In this position, you will be responsible for all aspects of the running of the dental practice such as; rostering, reporting, process improvements and sales as well as customer and staff engagement targets. Above all, you must model exceptionally high quality patient care and support the team of Dental Assistants, leading them in a positive and engaging manner.

About your Duties and responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for supporting our wonderful team of Dentists and Dental Assistants and ensuring daily operations are delivered efficiently and effectively. This includes hands on daily support and leadership of your team of Dental Assistants and Receptionists to provide a range of dental services to our patients.

In addition to this, you will be responsible for:

  • Financial Management: Budgeting, invoicing, and expense monitoring of the clinic as well as growth opportunities
  • Patient Experience: Ensure the highest standard of patient care, satisfaction, and safety.
  • Clinical Compliance: Guaranteed adherence to applicable medical regulations, privacy legislation, and practice policies
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train and manage a team of Dental Assistants, supporting their learning and development opportunities
  • Managing and maintaining stakeholder relationships including patients, Dentists, Health Funds and local suppliers etc.
  • Setting and meeting key performance indicators within agreed budgets for the centre
  • Roster management including labour ratios and budgets

You have:

  • Leadership skills including the ability to motivate and inspire those around you
  • The ability to build relationships quickly and easily
  • Sound business and commercial acumen with experience in working to set targets, KPI's or willingness to expand on your knowledge
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make difficult decisions
  • Demonstrated experience in effective people management - from employee rostering and leave management through to coaching and mentoring, performance management, training and recruitment (limited experience expected for Assistant Leader position)
  • Ideally experience in the Dental industry or willing to learn and get up to speed quickly
