WHY TEAM SIMONDS?

The Simonds story all started in 1949 with a passionate family man, Gary Simonds. He envisioned a builder that Australians could rely on to guide them through the process of crafting their perfect home. This vision remains at the heart of Simonds today with our commitment to making the Great Australian Dream a reality by placing home ownership within Australia’s reach.

Becoming part of Team Simonds means becoming part of the family. Our people are the heart of what we do. Our homes are built for the community, by the community, with a local network of employees, trades and suppliers all working towards this vision. It is this passion, dedication, and excellence that you will find on every Simonds job site, office, and display centre across the country. Today, we stand proudly as an ASX listed & leading national builder servicing customers across Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, and New South Wales.

Simonds has helped shape Australia. Few can say that. Whether we’re looking back at the homes of yesteryear, what we’re building now, or everything that’s still to come. We’ve not only shaped what Australia looks like, but more importantly, how Australia homes.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a full-time Interior Design Consultant to join our talented and dedicated team in our Loganholme office. As an Interior Design Consultant, your primary focus is to provide comprehensive and outstanding support and assistance to our clients through the selection process for their new home in a timely and professional manner.

Some responsibilities of this role include:

  • Plan and prepare for scheduled appointments ensuring that all documentation to conduct the consultation are correct and in place
  • Provide clients with suggestions, guidance and advice on selecting internal and external colour schemes, appliances and fittings within our ranges
  • Provide clients advice on all products and upgrades
  • Complete all documentation and detailed variations required to facilitate the customers colour and material selections within the set timelines
  • Working collaboratively with sales and other relevant departments
  • Host gallery tours

WHO YOU ARE

To be successful in this highly rewarding role, you will have a qualification in Interior Design and Decoration or related discipline.  Experience in a colour consulting role, ideally within the residential building industry with the ability to read and interpret floor plans is preferred.

Don't get us wrong, this can be a demanding role at times where solid administrative skills can be just as important as creativity, so the ability to meet deadlines and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills are essential. You will be an exceptional communicator and able to build rapport with a diverse client group. Flexible work habits and the ability to positively contribute to a dynamic team to achieve set targets and KPIs is also crucial.

WHY JOIN US?

Aside from a fantastic opportunity to join one of Australia's leading ASX listed residential builders, Simonds can offer you:

  • Great benefits across a wide range of products and services including a generous discount on our award-winning homes as well as all the great things that go in them.
