A bit about the role
Empower staff and lead the delivery of high quality Maternal and Child Health Services in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
What you’ll deliver
In partnership with the Lead Maternal and Child Health Universal Services, you will:
- Lead and manage day to day operations of Maternal Child Health and Universal Maternal Child Health Services ensuring practices are consistent with Council and Government policies, Program Standards and accepted professional best practice.
- Provide effective leadership and foster a positive workplace culture where staff report feeling engaged, empowered, supported, and encouraged to think and act creatively in supporting the community and delivering City of Caseys Council services.
- Monitor performance of Maternal Child Services against internal and external service targets and lead inclusive processes to implement strategies to ensure targets are achieved.
- Provide supervision, support and clinical guidance to Maternal & Child Health staff
- Contribute to and participate in research, surveys, benchmarking to direct and plan for future service requirements.
- Actively pursue own professional development
What you’ll bring
- Experience as a Team Leader in Maternal and Child Health, or a demonstrated ability and drive to lead, develop, coach and motivate staff
- Ability to develop partnerships and opportunities with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the development of services
- An evidence based and innovative approach, informed about current research and strategies to ensure a consistent and high-quality customer interface for families and child development
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and Midwife
- Postgraduate Diploma or higher in Child & Family Health Nursing
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History, Working with Children, Eligibility to Work, Psychometric Testing and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio)
