A bit about the role
The Gallery Visitor Services Attendant is responsible for welcoming patrons to Bunjil Place Gallery in Narre Warren. In your role, you will share knowledge about the precinct and current exhibitions, oversee security of works of art and assist with handling art and supporting public program delivery.
Bunjil Place Gallery’s exhibition program aims to present and promote the best Australian and international art that engages, challenges and inspires our audiences. The Gallery is driven by vibrant artistic programming, contemporary visitor experience and community engagement.
What you’ll deliver
- A welcoming and informative experience for all Bunjil Place patrons.
- Monitor the security of art works, patrons and overall presentation of exhibitions.
- Assist with exhibition changeovers, including handling art, packing and documentation.
- General administration duties including retail sales on occasion.
- Support public program delivery as required.
What you’ll bring
- Previous experience in Gallery or museum context is desirable.
- Level 2 First Aid or willingness to obtain.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol or willingness to obtain
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check.
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
