A bit about the role

At the City of Casey, the Transformation Governance and Scheduling Lead plays a pivotal role in driving the success of the organisation’s transformation program. Leading the day to day running of the Transformation Management Office (TMO), this role ensures effective governance, robust planning and scheduling, proactive risk management, and alignment with enterprise project management standards.

The position supports strategic decision-making through detailed program reporting, benefits realisation governance, and by facilitating a smooth transition of transformation initiatives into business-as-usual operations. It is a key enabler of delivering change that is timely, efficient, and aligned to the City of Casey’s strategic goals.

This full-time role is based on a 40-hour work week and includes a monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO), with optional flexible work arrangements to support work-life balance. Alternatively, candidates may choose to work a standard 38-hour week without the monthly RDO.

What you’ll deliver

  • Manage day-to-day running of the Transformation Management Office (TMO), including regular liaison with program and project managers.
  • Maintain an up-to-date master program schedule, program dependencies and program risks and issues register.
  • Lead all transformation program governance, key program documentation and reporting, including updates.
  • Lead governance of benefits management and realisation, including maintaining benefits management register, validating benefit reporting and supporting governing bodies with benefits realisation.
  • Lead strategic projects on behalf of the Transformation Program Director and Transformation Steering Committee.
  • Support with the transition of the Transformation program into BAU.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience working as a PMO/ePMO/TMO Manager (or similar role) within a large and complex organisation.
  • Strong expertise in project and program governance, scheduling, budgeting and risk mitigation.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in performance and / or benefit reporting.
  • Strong project management experience including usage of a range of tools including MS Project, JIRA, or similar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to write professional reports for a range of audiences.
  • Strong relationship building and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across the organisation to gain buy in to new approaches.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check.
  • A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
