A bit about the role
The City of Casey Maternal and Child Health service is the largest in Victoria, supporting and strengthening children and families.
This is a unique opportunity to influence the strategic direction, clinical quality, and operational delivery of quality services.
As part of a professional team, you will support and embed best-practice clinical governance frameworks that ensure quality, safety, and accountability.
You will also have the opportunity to play a key role in a variety of projects shaping the ongoing delivery of services in Maternal and Child Health.
What you’ll deliver
- Collaborate with the MCH workforce to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements through designing and refining effective procedures and guidelines.
- Partner with the team to gather data and information for key projects, ensuring processes and procedures are practical, relevant and effective.
- Undertake complex pieces of work, investigating solutions to challenges and opportunities.
- Support the MCH Clinical Educator and Management team to develop and ensure compliance with clinical governance framework.
- Alongside the MCH Clinical Educator and Management team, lead the implementation of new MCH processes and procedures, including the development of training material and communication plans.
What you’ll bring
- Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures and practices in line with legislation
- Experience in the development and implementation of new projects and initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to use data and evidence to inform practice
- Understanding of clinical governance and challenges associated with the delivery of safe and high-quality health care
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in systems relevant to clinical governance and healthcare administration
- Qualifications / relevant experience in Children, Family and Youth services
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children, Eligibility to Work
