A bit about the role
This role will oversee and support the strategic planning, delivery, and performance of the City of Casey’s multi-million-dollar Capital Works Program.
You’ll drive excellence in project governance, financial oversight, and stakeholder collaboration uplifting project management capability across the organisation to deliver impactful infrastructure for a growing community.
If you have a strong background in infrastructure or capital works project delivery, extensive experience in capital portfolio/program performance management, and a passion for driving continuous improvement, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll deliver
- Lead and mobilise the Infrastructure Project Hub to oversee the delivery of the infrastructure portfolio (Capital Works Program) of projects to ensure adherence to Casey’s Project Management Framework and governance frameworks.
- Oversee and support the strategic planning, prioritisation, and program delivery of large-scale infrastructure and Capital Works Program to meet organisational and community needs.
- Ensure robust financial management, performance monitoring, and reporting of infrastructure portfolios, with a strong focus on value, transparency, and accountability.
- Champion governance and risk management by enhancing and applying project management frameworks that support compliance, control, and continuous improvement.
- Drive collaboration across the organisation, including with the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO), to ensure integrated and aligned infrastructure outcomes.
- Champion the use of the Project Management tool.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and uplift project management capability across teams to foster a high-performance, project-driven culture.
What you’ll bring
- A relevant degree or diploma in Infrastructure Portfolio or Project Management or similar.
- Proven expertise in infrastructure portfolio, program, and project management, with a strong track record in delivering complex capital works programs and projects
- Relevant qualifications in project or infrastructure management, complemented by project management certifications desirable (e.g., Prince2, PMBOK, or Agile).
- Strong financial acumen and analytical capability, with demonstrated success in managing budgets, reporting, and performance metrics across infrastructure projects.
- Experience leading the uplift of organisational project management practices and embedding consistent, high-quality project governance.
- Exceptional collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with a history of building effective relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- Valid Victorian Drivers Licence.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, and Eligibility to Work check.
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
