About the Role
This role supports the development of sustainable infrastructure across the City of Casey by supervising and delivering a range of construction projects.
It also collaborates closely with the City Design and Construction team to plan, deliver and oversee building, civil and landscape construction programs.
What you’ll deliver
- Manage and monitor building construction projects, including contractor performance, site visits, compliance assessments, and coordination of asset handover and defect management.
- Support design development by reviewing architectural and services packages, and evaluating plans for design integrity and alignment with Council policies.
- Provide stakeholder support and reporting, including updates to internal teams, responding to public and Councillor enquiries, and preparing detailed financial and project reports.
- Utilise project management systems such as Altus to track milestones, risks, and outcomes, ensuring accurate monitoring and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Administer contracts and collaborate across departments, managing relationships with consultants, contractors, and service authorities, while contributing to multidisciplinary project teams
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary or trade qualification in Building Construction, Project Management or relevant discipline.
- Proven experience in delivering council projects.
- Experience managing significant capital works projects, developing contracts, and supervising consultants and contractors.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and services plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Experience in contract documentation, construction, and administration.
- Familiarity with project management frameworks.
- Construction White Card.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check & Eligibility to Work check.
