About the Role

Lead a team of equity and inclusion specialists to drive strategic, evidence informed initiatives that strengthen safety, belonging and equitable access across the City of Casey.

What You’ll deliver

  • Provide strategic leadership to drive equity and inclusion strategies, action plans and frameworks across Council, ensuring clear priorities, alignment and measurable impact.
  • Lead, mentor and empower a multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and high performing culture.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, community groups, government agencies and sector partners to advance shared equity and inclusion outcomes.
  • Use data, research and community insights to inform planning, identify priorities, monitor progress and support continuous improvement in equity and inclusion initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong leadership capability, with experience coaching, mentoring and empowering specialist advisors to deliver high impact outcomes.
  • Deep knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion principles, best practice, legislation and emerging trends, with the ability to apply them in complex organisational settings.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, including the ability to navigate challenging conversations and build trust across diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering policies, programs and capability building initiatives that advance equity, inclusion and community wellbeing.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, and Eligibility to Work check.
