A bit about the role
Join the City of Casey in a pivotal role supporting the integrity and performance of our property and valuation data. You’ll lead key valuation processes, manage data across TechOne and VMOnline, and liaise with the Valuer General and contracted valuers to ensure accurate, compliant rating outcomes.
Blending technical expertise with customer and stakeholder engagement, you’ll provide high-level advice, oversee data integrity, and drive continuous improvement across Rates and Valuations. If you’re detail-focused, systems-savvy and experienced in local government revenue, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
Plus, working a 40-hour week means you’ll enjoy the benefit of a monthly RDO (Rostered Day Off), giving you that extra time to recharge.
What you’ll deliver
- Accurate and compliant management of Council’s valuation data across TechOne and VMOnline.
- Coordination of supplementary valuations and annual revaluations, including data imports, reconciliations and integrity checks.
- High-level advice and responsive support to ratepayers and stakeholders on rates and property matters.
- Ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of the property and rating database.
- Leadership and guidance to the Property & Valuations Officer to ensure quality, timely service delivery.
What you’ll bring
- Experience in local government rates, valuations and revenue administration.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Local Government Act 2020 and Valuation of Land Act 1960.
- Proficiency in TechOne, VMOnline or similar property and rating systems.
- High attention to detail with strong data integrity and reconciliation skills.
- Well-developed communication skills and a strong customer service focus.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check.
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
