About the Role

Deliver effective, enterprise-wide change management across Council in this pivotal role, supporting transformational programs that align with strategic objectives and drive meaningful organisational change.

The role spans technology, people, and process change programs, ensuring change is embraced and benefits are realised.

You will lead change initiatives including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and adoption strategies.

This position is ideal for an experienced change professional with outstanding interpersonal skills who thrives in complex, collaborative environments, demonstrates strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, and has a proven ability to lead cultural and business transformation initiatives.

What You’ll deliver

  • Lead the delivery of enterprise-wide and transformational change initiatives, including change impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and adoption planning.
  • Partner with business leaders, project teams, and subject matter experts to ensure alignment, business readiness, and successful implementation of change programs across Council.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and communication strategies to build awareness, understanding, and commitment to change across all levels of the organisation.
  • Provide expert change management advice to project and business leaders, identifying risks and ensuring that change initiatives meet strategic objectives and deliver expected benefits.
  • Support and build internal change capability, coaching and mentoring others in change practices and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability.

What You’ll Bring

  • An appropriate Change Management certification e.g. PCI, APMG, Agile Change Leadership, Prosci or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Experience delivering end-to-end change management across large-scale organisational, cultural, and technology transformation projects.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for crafting clear, compelling messages and facilitating collaboration.
  • Experience applying change management principles, methodologies and tools for multiple projects, including change impact assessments, engagement, communication and training plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive change initiatives and activities across technology, people and processes which are aligned to organisational strategy, goals and plans.
  • Proven ability to design and implement capability development programs and interventions and coach and develop others.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships, build partnerships and influence at all levels of the organisation to achieve optimal project outcomes and aligned goals.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check
