About the role

Partnering with leaders and project teams, you will plan and deliver complex procurements, provide trusted advice, and help people make confident, well‑governed decisions.

You’ll work on high‑value and varied category portfolios, have real influence over outcomes, and be supported by a committed procurement leadership team. With a strong focus on fairness, value for money and community benefit, this is an ideal role for an experienced procurement professional who wants responsibility, variety and the chance to make a visible impact.

What you’ll deliver

  • Lead a small team to deliver high-quality, efficient and effective end-to-end tender processes based on organisational requirements and provide excellent customer service.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement efforts as a central point of contact for the Procurement team to understand business requirements and align category management strategies with organisational objectives.
  • Collaborate proactively with stakeholders to understand future business needs and facilitate a strong strategic procurement approach.
  • Provide advice on probity and risk management for a wide range of procurement matters, including complex, high-value procurements.
  • Develop category strategies for harnessing potential cost reduction opportunities and mitigating risks, including by remaining informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact category management strategies.

What you’ll need to apply

  • Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end public tender processes (preferably in a public sector setting), including requirements gathering, tendering, chairing the evaluation process and leading contract negotiation.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyse and interpret processes, legislation and complex technical specifications.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
