About the Role
Create welcoming, engaging gallery experiences while connecting visitors with art, exhibitions and programs.
What You’ll deliver
- Deliver a welcoming, engaging and informative visitor experience by sharing knowledge of exhibitions, artworks and programs.
- Provide outstanding customer service to encourage repeat visitation and community engagement.
- Monitor gallery spaces to ensure the safety of visitors and security of artworks.
- Assist with exhibition operations, including installation, changeovers, and art handling.
- Support the delivery of public programs, education activities and gallery events.
What You’ll Bring
- A passion for visual arts and interest in engaging diverse audiences.
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently unsupervised, collaboratively in a team and follow established procedures.
- Experience or interest in gallery, museum or arts environments (desirable)
- Basic administrative and operational skills, including confidence using POS/EFTPOS systems.
- Availability to work week days, weekends and evenings on a rotating roster
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Functional Assessment (Medical/physio).
