About the Role

Lead the shift to intelligence-led information management. The City of Casey is seeking a forward-thinking Information Governance and Insights Lead to drive enterprise-wide governance, performance insights and strategic planning.

This is a unique opportunity as part of a newly consolidated team to shape how information is governed, measured and leveraged—enabling a transition to a more proactive, integrated and intelligence-led information management model.

What You’ll deliver

  • Provide specialist advice and leadership to establish and maintain information governance frameworks, policies and standards aligned with organisational strategy and legislative obligations.
  • Maintain alignment between information governance, data governance, privacy, cyber security and enterprise architecture
  • Define and implement information management performance measures that provide visibility of compliance, lifecycle effectiveness, risk and service value
  • Contribute to the development, sequencing and monitoring of enterprise information management plans and improvement initiatives
  • Lead and support change activities that embed improved information governance practices across the organisation

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary qualification in information management, records management, governance, data, business, public administration or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated specialist knowledge of information governance, records and information management principles, and Victorian local government legislation and standards.
  • Certification or training in Information Governance, Privacy, Records Management, or Data Management (e.g. RIMPA, IAPP, DAMA)
  • Strong analytical capability, including the ability to translate data into insights that inform strategy, performance and service delivery.
  • Experience developing and applying governance frameworks, policies and performance reporting in complex organisations
  • Proven ability to lead change, influence stakeholders and guide teams through organisational and service model transitions
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check,
