About the Role

Lead the delivery of high-profile civic events, official openings and citizenship ceremonies that bring our community together and showcase Council at its best. Working closely with the Mayor, Councillors and key stakeholders, you'll coordinate memorable events, build strong community connections, and ensure activities are delivered seamlessly, on time and within budget.

What You’ll deliver

• Deliver Casey's civic events program, including citizenship ceremonies at Bunjil Place, one of the highest-volume citizenship programs in Australia, ensuring every event is engaging, professional and memorable.
• Coordinate official openings, milestone celebrations and civic functions, working closely with Councillors, State and Federal MPs, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with elite sporting partners to deliver impactful co-branded citizenship ceremonies that showcase the City of Casey.
• Manage event planning and delivery from concept to completion, ensuring activities are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
•  Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing event support to the Mayor, Councillors and Council teams while contributing to continuous improvement across event operations.

What You’ll Bring

• Demonstrated experience in event management, with the ability to successfully plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality events from concept through to execution.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage and build relationships with Councillors, government representatives, funding bodies and internal teams.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, budgets, timelines and event risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare event briefs, reports and professional correspondence.
• Political awareness and an understanding of local government, coupled with a collaborative approach and a passion for delivering exceptional community experiences.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, and Eligibility to Work check.
