About the Role

Join our Maternal and Child Health team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of local families. As a Maternal and Child Health Program Support Officer, you'll provide exceptional customer service and administrative support, assisting parents and carers access the Maternal and Child Health Programs while working alongside a dedicated team of professionals. If you're highly organised, customer-focused and enjoy making a positive impact every day, this could be the role for you.

There are two fixed-term, 12 month, part-time roles available, working 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, three days per week.

Role 1: Monday to Wednesday

Role 2: Tuesday to Thursday

What You’ll deliver

  • Excellent customer service in accordance with the City of Casey Customer First principles
  • Schedule Maternal and Child Health appointments, both face to face and via telephone, and respond to and follow up client enquires
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including transferring clients into the service, processing birth notifications, coordinating interpreter bookings, and assisting with centre maintenance requirements.
  • Prepare and distribute supplies, resources, and information packs to Maternal and Child Health centres, ensuring stock levels are maintained and centres are adequately equipped to deliver services.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience supporting large and diverse teams in a busy administrative environment, complemented by strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to provide high-quality customer service, both face-to-face and over the telephone, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn and navigate databases and specialised systems. Experience with Child Development Information System (CDIS) or similar platforms is advantageous but not essential.
  • A curious, collaborative, and inclusive approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting the community and contributing to a positive team culture.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening, including a National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, and verification of working rights in Australia.
