About the Role

Plan and deliver a variety of major community events throughout the year, including the Casey Kids Carnival and Pets Day Out

Support and guide event organisers through our Event Approval Process and act as a resource to provide information where required.

What You’ll deliver

• Plan, coordinate and deliver a diverse range of Council events, ensuring seamless execution from concept through to evaluation.
• Provide expert guidance and support to community groups and internal stakeholders on event planning, approvals, permits and compliance requirements.
• Develop and implement event operations plans, risk management strategies and emergency procedures to ensure safe and successful events.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, community organisations and internal teams to achieve positive event outcomes and enhance community engagement.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement, proactively managing emerging issues and contributing fresh ideas to enhance Council's events program.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience planning, coordinating and delivering successful events, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with community groups, contractors and internal teams.
• Sound understanding of event compliance, risk management and operational planning, with a focus on delivering safe and well-organised events.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to analyse issues, identify practical solutions and prepare professional reports and correspondence.
• A proactive, adaptable and resilient approach, with a passion for creating positive community experiences and continuously improving event outcomes.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Psychometric Testing and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio).
