Salary range $135,459 – $157,027 plus super

Who are you? 

You have comprehensive experience in building relationships and influencing diverse stakeholders. Your experience also includes:

  • Strong experience in collaborating and leading a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Methodical mindset to deliver strategic objectives
  • Experience and/or exposure in water management, the energy market and continuous improvement standards would also be beneficial, but not mandatory

Your technical experience also includes:

  • Full-stack coding experience in languages such as C#
  • Experience in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and developing automated tests
  • Experience in understanding and solving technical problems in a complex business domain

About the role: 

To put it simply, as a key member of a cross-functional DevOps team, you will be key to providing technical guidance to your broader team and will work to deliver innovative market facing solutions to enable Hydro Tasmania to continue powering Tasmania and Australia with renewable energy. In this role, you will have the opportunity to play a key part in large scale projects. You will be a technical leader within a high performing team who embrace flexible working arrangements.

As a Senior Software Developer at Hydro Tasmania, you will be… 

✓ Provide functional and technical expertise to develop technical design specifications for software and database solutions  

✓ Building partnerships and work collaboratively to meet shared objectives

✓ Maintain and continuously improve software standards, tool definition and practices  

✓ Manage software installation procedures and provision of support during software releases

✓ Identifying opportunities and benefits & work with stakeholders to translate this to delivered value
