Great role with Entura in the Water Management Team
Shape the Future with Entura
This is a role replacement in our Water Management Team where you will be responsible for the provision of reliable hydrological, meteorological, and environmental data monitoring systems for the purpose of collecting and presenting quality time series data to Entura’s clients, including Hydro Tasmania.
A broad range of data monitoring projects can be expected including dam surveillance, natural streams, water conveyance and delivery systems, groundwater, renewable energy projects, environmental management and electrical transmission and delivery. This role includes selecting fit-for-purpose equipment, system design, integration, commissioning and maintenance. The transmission, storage, and presentation of that data is also of prime importance.
What will your week look like?
If you like variety and being outside keep reading. Each week will be a bit different, so you will need to be a bit flexible, some weeks could include multiple days in the field carrying and using hydrographer monitoring equipment. Other weeks would consist of inputting the data collected back at the Moonah office or assisting with preparation of future installations.
You will get to travel the state so you need a driver's licence (ideally a manual licence), and you will always be working with at least one other person when in the field, so you have amazing opportunities to learn from dedicated mentors. A full list of accountabilities is detailed in the Position description below.
Further information can be found in the attached position description:
