Base salary range starting from $135,459 - this role is preferably based in Hobart

Who are you?
Your experience in developing and enhancing comprehensive total rewards frameworks will be crucial for your success in this role. Your experience will also include:
- Exceptional knowledge of best practice remuneration and benefits strategies and a deep knowledge of the Mercer classification framework (or similar).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights
- Excellent communication skills with abilities to engage with varied stakeholders and queries
- Strong interpersonal skills with capabilities in influencing whole of business decisions
- A proactive approach to solve operational problems and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Previous experience working within government frameworks highly desirable

About the role:
To put it simply, in this newly created role, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing comprehensive total rewards frameworks (salary, bonuses, benefits, incentives and non-monetary awards) aligned with the Hydro Groups’ needs and market trends. Within this role, you’ll utilise your strong experience for strategic planning and day-to-day operational execution as well as extensive reporting, data analysis and system interactions.
As a Remuneration and Benefits Specialist at Hydro Tasmania, you will:
✓ Develop and implement a sustainable remuneration strategy for the Hydro Group
✓ Lead and execute salary benchmarking processes, determining pay based on external market data
✓ Lead and executes cyclical total rewards activities
✓ Complete the remuneration annual PDR process
✓ Leverage industry trends and insights, legislative updates, and best practices to keep compensation and benefits current and effective
