Who are you?
You hold an Electrician Practitioner’s License and a current Driver’s License, with strong knowledge of AS3000, AS3008, and other electrical standards. You have extensive experience in electrical design, inspection, testing, and industrial installation, modification, and fault-finding.
You work well independently and in teams, with experience leading projects, supervising trade teams, and preparing technical reports, ITPs, specifications, and scopes of work. You’re skilled in reading, creating, and modifying electrical drawings and schematics, and proficient in asset management and work control systems like SAP.
With strong communication skills, you effectively manage deliverables, meet deadlines, and ensure projects run smoothly.
About the role:
As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for both site-based and office-based activities, ensuring successful execution of refurbishment works in alignment with project timelines, safety regulations, and strategic objectives.
This role requires frequent travel and onsite attendance as per the outage roster.
Responsibilities will include:
⚡ Providing technical leadership to ensure high-quality execution of electrical tasks.
⚡Ensuring compliance with inspection and test plans (ITPs) and inspection record sheets (IRSs).
⚡Act as the Person-in-Charge (PIC) for Hydro Tasmania work parties and supervise contractors.
⚡Providing on-the-job training and mentorship for apprentices and graduate engineers.
⚡Conduct hazard studies, risk assessments, and toolbox meetings while ensuring appropriate safety documentation, such as JHAs and Task-Specific Permits (e.g., Hot Work, Confined Space), are completed
