About the role:

To put it simply… As one of 4 site managers and working closely with your dedicated Site Supervisor, you’ll take the lead in planning and delivering critical maintenance works. As part of Hydro Tasmania’s Major Maintenance Team, you'll play a key role in ensuring our hydropower assets perform safely and reliably.

Based predominantly in the Derwent region with some travel required Statewide at times to the north and northwest, this role combines office-based planning with onsite leadership during major outages, and longer duration plant breakdowns. Your expertise will help balance production needs, manage complex works, and lead teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

As a Site Manager you will be…
✓ Leading the on-site delivery of major maintenance outages and repair of our Hydro generation assets.
✓ Collaborating closely with planners and stakeholders to scope, schedule, and resource outages up to two years in advance.
✓ Ensuring work is executed safely, on time, within budget, and to required technical and quality standards.
✓ Mentoring and guiding Site Supervisors, Technicians, Graduate Engineers, and Apprentices to build capability within the team.
✓ Managing contractor safety and coordinating diverse resources across Hydro, Entura, and partners.
✓ Contributing to the continuous improvement of maintenance planning, outage processes, and asset performance.
