Salary range $135,459 – $157,027 plus super

About the role: 

To put it simply…You’ll use your financial expertise to drive insights that shape Hydro Tasmania’s future. This includes leading key budgeting and forecasting activities that underpin the sustainable management of our century-old hydropower assets.

As a Management Accountant Lead, you will:
✓ Lead the budgeting and forecasting cycles across the Hydro group.
✓ Provide insightful monthly and quarterly financial performance analysis.
✓ Partner with business leaders to deliver finance support and strategic advice.
✓ Mentor and support junior team members, enhancing team capability.
✓ Improve finance processes and systems through collaboration and leadership.
✓ Drive continuous improvement and champion smarter ways of working.
✓ Support system upgrades and contribute to financial system enhancements.

Who are you? 

As a senior finance professional, you have strong technical skills and take the lead on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis with confidence, ideally in a medium to large organisation.

You tell clear, impactful stories from complex financial data that support strategic decision-making. This ability, combined with your collaborative approach and strong communication skills, helps you build trusted relationships and effectively influence stakeholders at all levels of the business.

You’re a proactive leader who drives continuous improvement, using strategic thinking and change management to deliver sustainable results. You hold a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting, along with a professional accounting qualification such as CPA or CA (or working towards.)
