Salary range $135,459 – $157,027 plus super.

About the role:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering a major capital works program, focused on renewing and upgrading our assets that have supported energy generation for over 100 years! You'll apply your technical expertise to support the design, replacement, and integration of complex electrical systems, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of critical infrastructure.
Working closely with engineering, commercial, and project teams, you’ll provide high-level technical input, review key documents, and help drive engineering standards that support long-term asset performance. Your work will directly contribute to the specification, design review, commissioning and operational readiness of assets, while managing technical risks and ensuring alignment with business needs.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will;
✓ Review and make recommendations for final engineering sign-off on concept designs, detailed drawings, reports, and project proposals.
✓ Offer engineering advice to resolve complex project challenges, ensuring solutions are technically sound and aligned with operational requirements.
✓ Develop and assess technical solutions to asset issues, supporting safe and timely commissioning of new or refurbished equipment.
✓ Mentor and support junior and graduate engineers, contributing to team capability and professional development.
✓ Work collaboratively with stakeholders to assess and balance technical, commercial and operational risks.

Who are you?
You are a senior level electrical engineer with significant experience in the design, construction, or management of large scale industrial or energy infrastructure, ideally within hydropower industry. Your expertise includes HV switchgear, transformers, alternators, and other electricity generation related equipment.
You bring a strong track record of providing technical leadership, managing engineering risk, and delivering high quality outcomes across complex projects. Confident in engineering reviews and decision making, you’re also a collaborative team player who values continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
