Salary range $113,448 – $131,517 plus super

About the role:
To put it simply… you’ll support the finance team in delivering accurate, timely financial insights that help shape Hydro Tasmania’s future. You’ll play an important part in budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting that contribute to the sustainable management of our hydropower assets.
As a Senior Management Accountant, you will:
✓ Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts across the Hydro group.
✓ Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis.
✓ Work closely with business stakeholders to provide financial information and advice.
✓ Contribute to improving finance processes and reporting tools.
✓ Help identify opportunities for efficiency and smarter ways of working.
✓ Support finance system updates and enhancements.
✓ Learn from and collaborate with experienced team members to build your capability in the energy industry.

Who are you?
You’re a finance professional with 3 to 5 year’s experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, ideally within a medium to large organisation or withing an accounting firm. You have strong technical skills and can turn complex financial data into clear insights to support business decisions.
Collaborative and detail oriented, you communicate well with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. You manage deadlines effectively, take ownership of your work, and look for ways to improve processes.
You hold a degree in Accounting and are CPA or CA qualified (or working towards it.) You’re confident using finance systems and apply your technical knowledge to support continuous improvement.
