Salary range $135,000 to $157,000 plus super

Who are you?
Your extensive experience in HR along with a strong collaborative and strategic focus will set you up for success in this role. Your experience will also include:
- Working as a senior HR practitioner with abilities to implement, advice, develop and maintain and evaluate HR practices
- Job design and evaluation, ideally using the Mercer CED framework
- Strong relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills including with external parties such as tribunals, advocacy groups and unions
- Strong abilities to work collaboratively within your team as well as across the business with demonstrated capabilities to align with agreed team behaviours
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presenting information and facilitating sessions for large and diverse groups of employees and leaders.
You will also have a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Commerce, Human Resources, Law). Excellent written and verbal communication skills with capabilities in presenting

About the role:
To put it simply, you will be responsible for providing professional generalist Human Resources advice and influence at a senior level. You will be coaching and providing advice to managers and employees in designated business units and across the business to facilitate and enhance employee experience. The role will require you to also lead People and Capability projects and initiatives.
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will be…
✓ Managing the people aspects of any restructures including organisation design, redeployment and redundancy are completed within timescales and budgets.
✓ Working collaboratively with functional areas to solve people challenges and provide effective solutions to business units and support the proactive application of the People & Capability function deliverables across the Hydro Tasmania business.
✓ Regularly reviewing People and Capability’s policies and processes to ensure consistency of information and compliance with relevant legislation.
✓ Supporting the translation of business strategy to people strategies that effectively contribute to the performance of the business unit.
✓ Actively champion and embed core people programs and initiatives into business areas.
