About the role
Lead asset management strategies for Hydro Tasmania’s hydropower water conveyance assets, including pipelines, penstocks and related infrastructure, providing technical oversight and guiding long-term investment priorities. You’ll partner across engineering, operations and leadership to optimise asset performance, reliability and risk across the asset lifecycle.
Salary range $140,887 – $163,308 plus super

Key responsibilities
• Develop lifecycle strategies for hydropower water conveyance assets.
• Review designs, inspection reports and engineering proposals for critical infrastructure.
• Lead initiatives to improve asset performance, reliability and risk outcomes.
• Support long-term planning and prioritisation of asset investment programs.
• Manage specialist consultants delivering civil and asset management work.
• Build strong partnerships across asset, operations and engineering teams.

Skills & experience
• Degree in Civil Engineering and eligible for CPEng status.
• Experience reviewing designs for pipelines, penstocks or major civil assets.
• Strong asset management and lifecycle planning capability.
• Experience influencing investment planning and risk-based decisions.
• Exposure to hydropower or asset-intensive industrial environments (desirable)
