Dependent on age; Base Salary from $57,840 (Junior) or $77,120 (Adult) plus Super, potential area allowances and yearly progression.

We're especially keen to hear from applicants with a strong interest in the electrical supply industry and outdoor field-based work. A current Australian Driver Licence, or the ability to obtain one, will be highly regarded.
About the role:
Starting in February 2027, our 4-year apprenticeship program will provide the skills, experience and qualifications needed to become a qualified Line worker.
Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll:
- Gain BIG skills through structured on-the-job training and study.
- Learn from experienced field crews working across Hydro Tasmania's distribution network.
- Assist with the construction, maintenance and repair of overhead and underground network assets.
- Develop strong technical, safety and problem-solving skills.
- Work outdoors in a variety of environments and weather conditions.
- Build experience using industry-leading tools, equipment and technology.
- Help deliver safe and reliable electricity to homes, businesses and communities across Flinders Island.
